Commuter Cycling (3 in 1)
There are a growing number of cyclists that are choosing to commute to work or school, and to ride to the shops, or socialise.
Motivation to use the bicycle for these purposes is personal but will always be a combination of the following three:
- (1) Financial
With rising prices of fuel it makes sense to use alternative methods of transport, and with the rising cost of the National Health Service cycling is being employed as a key method for effective health care (preventative care rather than reactive care).
- (2) Environmental
With rising CO2 emissions and depleting fossil fuels, a sustainable mode of transport is essential.
- (3) Exercise
With an increasing demand on 'me' time, the opportunity for exercise is limited. So cycling to work or school can be part of your weekly exercise programme combined with your transport.
